About Erato Coffee
At Erato Coffee (eh-RAH-toh), named after the Greek muse of creativity and expression, we’ve always believed coffee can be more than routine.
Family owned and operated since 1994, Erato was built on a simple belief: great coffee starts with great beans, and there are no shortcuts to getting it right.
Run by husband-and-wife team Bill and Judy, we source coffees from growing regions around the world and roast in small batches at our facility in Woodbridge, Ontario. Every roast is approached with the same focus we’ve had from the beginning, consistency, quality, and care in every cup.
As the coffee industry evolves, so do we. We’re committed to making more thoughtful and responsible choices as we grow, from how we source and roast to how we package and operate day to day. While we know sustainability is an ongoing journey, it’s one we continue to invest in and improve over time.
Whether we’re roasting for cafés, retailers, or homes across Canada, our commitment remains the same: honest coffee, made by people who genuinely care about the product they produce.
Introducing Emissions Free Coffee
Most roasters run on gas. We don't.
Our Coffee roasters are 100% electric.
Our newest roaster, Bellwether, is 100% no smoke, no emissions. It's the same award-winning machine trusted by specialty cafés across 26 countries, and it lives right here in our Vaughan facility.
Every roast is precision-controlled, repeatable, and cleaner than anything coming out of a traditional roaster. That means better coffee for you, and a smaller carbon footprint for the planet.
